I am grateful
Dear Editor:I am a student and a scholarship recipient from Aspen High School. I want to tell you how grateful I am for this experience and how much fun my trip was. I went to Utah with Linda Lafferty on “Horses and Amigos,” this trip was so fantastic. We rode horses every day, hiked through Arches National Park, and we went to Newspaper Rock. For me this was the first time camping in the United States, and Utah was really beautiful. I learned so much about the horses, made new friends and practiced my English with the other students. I loved the horses, and I really made good use of my scholarship that you gave me. I want to say thank you to Linda Lafferty and Steve Smith for planning this trip, they took very good care of us. I want to thank the donors to the Ex Ed scholarship fund again for their generosity and AHS for these opportunities. I can assure you, I will never forget this trip. I hope the other students can have the same opportunity as I had because these trips are some of the best things that will happen to you. Iris ChaconAspen High School
