How’s life in Eagle County?

Aspen Times StaffAspen, CO Colorado

EAGLE COUNTY Eagle County government wants to know how its residents feel about their quality of life so the government can chart a direction for the future. The county will conduct a Quality of Place survey in two phases this summer to assess how its citizens feel. The first phase will be an online survey open to any resident of the county. Residents will be asked what they like best and least about their communities, and what improvements they desire. The survey can be completed online in a few minutes. Those who want to participate can find a link at http://www.eaglecounty.us until July 30. Eagle County includes the broader El Jebel area, parts of Basalt and the Fryingpan Valley and part of Missouri Heights in the Roaring Fork Valley. The second part of the project will be a telephone survey of a random sample of 400 county residents. The county has hired a market research firm, Research & Polling Inc., to perform the work. Respondents will be asked about their perceptions on several factors usually associated with quality of life and they will be quizzed about their level of satisfaction with services provided by Eagle County government.By participating in the online portion of this survey you dont have to wait to be asked your opinion, you can tell it like you see it, and that is exactly what we want to hear, said Commissioner Sara Fisher in a prepared statement.
