A special event in support of Los Angeles wildfire relief efforts will be hosted outdoors at The Garden at the Hotel Jerome from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 19. The benefit, open to the community, will feature the mouth-watering delights of several culinary geniuses.
On deck will be one of Los Angeles’ most influential chefs, Ludo Lefebvre. The French chef is known as a restaurateur and television personality who pioneered the pop-up restaurant concept with LudoBites. Ludo has also opened successful brick-and-mortar restaurants, including Petit Trois, and the former Trois Mec. Ludo has made appearances on numerous cooking shows, “The Taste,” “Ludo Bites America,” and “Mind of a Chef.”

In addition, the Italian-born Chef Mattia Agazzi of Beverly Hills’ Osteria Gucci will be there. Agazzi’s culinary philosophy, while rooted in Italian tradition, has also been shaped by his global experience. Agazzi developed his skills under renowned chefs Massimo Bottura, Joël Robuchon, Alain Ducasse, and Norbert Niederkofler. He’s known for creating dishes that are playful, elegant, and deeply personal by combining local ingredients with refined technique.

Also cooking, will be the American chef Neal Frasier. Frasier’s flagship restaurant Redbird is located in downtown Los Angeles, and it’s known for its Modern American cuisine. Frasier will be making modern American bites for the event.
The local relief efforts are being spearheaded by World Central Kitchen — a nonprofit organization that is first to the frontlines providing fresh meals in response to crises, founded by Chef José Andrés in 2010.
Tickets can be purchased for $95 per guest, including a 15% locals discount with the code EP25LOCAL. For information and tickets, visit exploretock.com/hotel-jerome/event/550471/gather-in-the-garden-to-benefit-la-fire-relief-efforts.

Mountain Mayhem: Midsummer (day and) night’s dream
Here we are at the halfway point of summer. I wish we could slow down the pace of this season, which always goes far too fast for my liking. From culture to fashion to fine art to the culinary arts, Aspen is at its zenith. Keep an eye out for the four vans from the Gant that are part of its new Rolling Canvas program this summer. To kick off the season, The Gant hosted a Canvas and Cuisine party in June with artists-in-residence Whit Boucher and Kelly Peters and the vans whose exteriors bear their designs. The Gant’s restaurant Origin by The Farmer & The Chef marked their one-year anniversary as well with light bites, complemented beats by Cisco Amboy, complimentary champagne and cocktails, and Ajax Cellars wine pours by sommelier Greg Van Wagner.
