‘Hope Springs’ shows Wednesday in Aspen

ASPEN – Aspen Film will present a special advance screening of the comedy “Hope Springs” on Wednesday. The screening, at 7:30 p.m. at Paepcke Auditorium, is a benefit for Aspen Film.”Hope Springs” stars Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones as a married couple whose relationship is in need of rejuvenation. Streep’s Kay persuades her skeptical husband, Arnold, to attend couple’s therapy led by a specialist played by Steve Carell. The film, directed by David Frankel (“Marley & Me,” “The Devil Wears Prada”), also features Elisabeth Shue and Mimi Rogers. “Hope Springs” is scheduled for national release Aug. 8.Tickets for the screening are $20 and are on sale in advance at the Wheeler Opera House box office and http://www.aspenshowtix.com.Aspen Film’s 34th annual Aspen Filmfest is set for Oct. 2 through 7.
