Hollow GOP promises

Dear Editor: I keep seeing political ads from both parties, and the Romney ad is completely opposite of what the Obama ad shows about Romney’s record as governor of Massachusetts.

Can our newspapers find out the truth and publish their findings? I see that Romney (like Bush) got four deferments from military service during the Vietnam War, and now he wants to run our country, but he wouldn’t serve or defend it! All it takes is power, money and political clout, and you will be taken care of.

Romney is promising to create jobs, but like Perry of Texas, those jobs might be at fast-food places! Romney also has vowed to cut police and firemen’s jobs. Is this what he calls being conservative? I imagine union-busting also will be on his to-do list! There was so much deceit, lying and false reporting by the previous administration that now when told the truth, the public can’t handle it.

Seems that all voters have a very short memory – the recession started before Obama took office, and yet he gets the blame for it. The GOP is going to keep the old saying going: “The rich get richer, and the poor get poorer.”
