Highland Bowl uphill etiquette 101

Dear Editor:

To those elitist few who feel that everyone should get out of their way – I’ve been in the valley quite some time and last time I checked, uphill etiquette was as follows:

1. No stopping in the uphill boot track. If you need to catch your breath, step out of the track to let others by.

2. As long as you’re moving, go at your own pace and others will pass when they feel they can. You’re not obligated to let someone by unless you feel like you’re holding up the masses.

Memo to the next “uber uphiller” who taps me on the leg with a ski pole and asks me to yield the track. You may end up with said pole snapped in half over my knee.

Peace, love and powder for all!

Wade Livingston
