Higher taxes hurtful

Sales taxes are down; tax revenue is down … because business is down. Most local businesses are run, owned and/or operated by us folks who HAVE to work. We all pay property taxes at home (renters also pay property tax through higher rents).

If you work for, or shop at, a lodging, retail, restaurant or other service business you are paying for an even higher commercial property tax rate.

Higher property taxes will mean higher rents/mortgage payments at home, lower wages/income at your job, and/or higher retail, food, etc., costs while shopping.

Voters, please do not further burden ourselves while we are financially down. Higher taxes are bad enough of a burden when we are all doing well.

Vote no on Tuesday.
