ASPEN – Aspen Skiing Co.’s Hi-Fi Concert Series returns this season with six free events.

The series opens Nov. 24 with modern rockabilly trio the Reverend Horton Heat, led by singer-guitarist Jim Heath. The concert, on Gondola Plaza, is timed for the opening weekend of the ski season and the Winternational World Cup ski races on Aspen Mountain.

The concert series will conclude with the Core Party, which expands to two nights, March 29 and 30, at the corner of Cooper Avenue and Galena Street. The March Fourth Marching Band, a brass band from Oregon known for its street-theater style, featuring stilt walkers and dancers, will play March 29. Grouplove, an indie rock band from New York City, is set for March 30.

Additional events in the series are a Jan. 25 concert on Gondola Plaza, coinciding with the Winter X Games on Buttermilk Mountain, and concerts on Feb. 16 and March 22 in Snowmass Base Village. Acts for those events have yet to be announced.
