Help the Thrift Shop
November 10, 2009
Editor’s note: This letter was originally addressed to “the dedicated, enthusiastic, and energetic.”
Would YOU like to be part of the wonderful little community service organization that is the Thrift Shop of Aspen? Many in the Roaring Fork community know us from a customer and/or a contributor perspective, and we are grateful beyond words for the working relationship we share with the community. We now extend an invitation for you to get to know us from the inside, and to learn about becoming a volunteer.
As we move into our new building – and move forward in fulfilling our mission of supporting more than 200 not-for-profit organizations in the Roaring Fork Valley – the Thrift Shop of Aspen is looking for dedicated, enthusiastic, energetic team players who would like to join our group of volunteers. We welcome you to our Volunteer Open House at the beautiful, new Thrift Shop of Aspen at 422 E. Hopkins Ave. on Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Here’s your chance to learn more about us and to consider giving a gift of service that has no end. Your contribution of two days a month is a contribution to the children of this valley, to outdoor activities, to the seniors, to the disabled, to child and adult education, to the arts, and to the environment … the beat of our service goes on.
If you would like to learn more about becoming a Thrift Shop volunteer and join us in the good work we do, please come to our Volunteer Open House and/or contact Christina Patterson at 379-8484 or Carolyn Moore at 923-2889.
