Staff report
The Colorado Mountain Club and U.S. Forest Service are seeking volunteers to help complete restoration work in the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness on Aug. 16 and 17.
As part of a backpacking trip, volunteers will work to rehabilitate camping areas in sensitive riparian habitats along the Four Pass Loop trail.
Colorado Mountain Club will provide food, group camping gear and project leadership. No stewardship experience is necessary, but participants should be prepared to backpack 3.5 miles to the project and campsite.
Participants can register at http://www.cmc.org/Calendar/EventDetails.aspx?ID=26674 or contact stewardship@cmc.org. The project is supported by funding from the National Forest Foundation.
