Help house the circus

Dear Editor:

Aspen Youth Center, which was recently voted Aspen’s best nonprofit, is gearing up for our annual fundraiser Cirque d’Aspen. This fundraising event allows us to provide enriching programs to youth in our valley. Currently, we are in need of housing for our circus performers.

The performers arrive on Dec. 25 and depart on Dec. 31. It’s very difficult to find affordable lodging over the holiday season, so we are looking for donated lodging in Aspen or Basalt. This will allow us to keep our costs down so more money can go toward our programs. We are looking for condos and hotel rooms, or community members who may have a caretaker apartment or guest house that will not be occupied.

If you are interested in donating lodging, please call Sarah Visnic at 544-4133. Thank you to everyone who supports this event. This year’s show is brand new and will be an exciting, thrilling, cirque-esque performance that you don’t want to miss!
