Help a potential Eagle Scout |

Help a potential Eagle Scout

Dear Editor:

I am a Boy Scout of Troop 242. I need my fellow citizens of the Roaring Fork Valley to help me. I am looking for ideas for a project. To become an Eagle Scout I will need to complete a project of 145 hours or more, and I will do it for a school, church or the community in general.

I have been a Boy Scout for nine years, and in those nine years, I have succeeded and grown as a person, leader and friend. I have completed 11 ranks in Scouting that were comprised of 125 requirements, and I am finally at the pinnacle of it all. For those of you who are not familiar with the Scouting organization, I am currently a Life Scout (the second-highest rank in Scouting), and I am on the brink of being an Eagle Scout. An Eagle Scout is a model citizen. They help and expect nothing in return. They do their best in every aspect of their lives. Only one out of 100 Boy Scouts ever makes it to Eagle.

Please call me at 923-3347.
