Hearing set in murder-for-hire plot targeting Aspen DA

JEFFERSON COUNTY ” A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 21 at Jefferson County Court in the alleged murder for hire case against the ex-wife of Aspen prosecutor Richard Nedlin, authorities said Friday.

Elinor Dvir, 36, stands accused of solicitation of first-degree murder and solicitation of first-degree assault, based on documents filed with the court. She allegedly plotted to kill Nedlin.

She faces more than 20 years in state prison if convicted as charged. Dvir, a resident of Denver, is being held on $100,000 bond in the Jefferson County jail.

She was arrested March 15 in Denver, one day after she allegedly offered an undercover officer $2,000 to kill her ex-husband.
