Headline was disservice

Aspen Times writer

Dear Editor:In the July 12 Aspen Times, your headline for Allyn Harvey’s report “Bush vitriol flows forth” does a disservice to his generally accurate reporting. (Joe Wilson’s wife’s name is Valerie Plame not Plume.) I attended both days and never heard one ounce of vitriol spoken by any speaker or member of the audience. I suppose it is the editor’s privilege to design headlines that slant an article to his or her political views, but these headlines surely may not be based on an untrue fact.Stefan T. EdlisAspen
