Hardly healthy

Dear Editor:

Torre calls Aspen’s tap water a “healthy choice.” I beg to differ. It is important to note that the sodium fluoride added to our water is imported from China and that many examples have been shown to be contaminated with heavy metals such as lead. That’s one black mark on our water.

More importantly in January the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and the Department of Health and Human Services, after five years of study, recommended that municipalities reduce by almost half that which Aspen is daily pumping into our homes. I wouldn’t call that a healthy choice.
