Habitat for Humanity grateful for Jerome’s generosity

Dear Editor:

Several months ago, I wrote a letter to the editor thanking the Hotel Jerome ownership team and its general manager, Tony DiLucia, for their upcoming donation of furniture that they were going to be replacing in their impending upgrade.

Well, the results of their actual donation are far exceeding our wildest dreams.

From the sales at our ReStore, of the items that came out of the hotel, Habitat for Humanity has raised enough money to buy land and build another home with a local family in need of an affordable home. What a wonderful tangible outcome of their generosity!

So here is a huge thank-you to GM Tony DiLucia, his team and the hotel’s ownership group, Don Wilson and DRW Trading, for their donation to Habitat for Humanity here in the valley. It is wonderful when the owners of these fine hotels donate the items here in our valley.

While we have sold much of the inventory (about 85 percent), our ReStore still has some amazing things available: draperies, sofa beds, carpets, elegant brass chandeliers/sconces, coffee tables, wicker chairs, desks, upholstered head boards, sofa chair/ottoman sets and leather chairs (and even some handy maid’s carts).
