Habitat for Humanity gives thanks

Dear Editor:

Habitat for Humanity of the Roaring Fork Valley would like to thank everyone who participated and contributed to a successful fifth year at the annual golf event at the Roaring Fork Club on June 7, 2010.

In addition to a huge thanks to the club and the staff, a big thank you to title sponsor Bighorn Toyota, as well as Timbers Resorts, Howard Financial Resources and BriKor. Entry fees for the 190 golfers, donations, mulligan purchases and a great silent auction of items donated by numerous businesses, helped raise $60,000.

The money raised will go to Habitat RFV’s building and land fund for the next project of six more homes that will be the 11th through 16th homes built by volunteers in the Roaring Fork Valley and beyond. A special thanks to the volunteers that helped stage the event as well.
