Guns and cheeseburgers

Dear Editor:

Gun love is very much alive and well in Aspen.

My buddy and I just made a Grand Junction run. A hell of a lot of great Aspenites made out a “grocery list” for me to pick up. One lady wanted a Carl’s Jr. Double Cowboy Cheeseburger.

Then the list went something like this:

• “Bro, grab as much 9 as you can for me.”

• “Can you get me a few boxes of .45?

• “I need .22, any brand. I don’t care.”

• “Twelve-gauge and a bunch of clay pigeons.”

And the list went on and on. We were so busy that we couldn’t hit Red Lobster. So I washed down the Cowboy with the clay pigeons.
