Great parade

The veterans of Pitkin County received many cheers and thanks from the gathered crowd along the parade route on the 4th of July.

I, for one, would like to thank the organizers of the veterans, Sally Glenn and Hugh Roberts. They work for days trying to get a great turnout for the parade and have been extremely successful.

They prepare placards, make phone calls, send out letters and really put together a great event, which the crowd seems to love. I would hope that this part of the parade would grow and grow in future years because it such a great thing to do. Thanks, Sally and Hugh.
