Gray’s oxygen supply low

Dear Editor:

This letter is directed to Sue Gray of Carbondale. How dare you, Ms. Gray, state that those of us cling to the notion that our loved ones died for a noble cause and they are victims.

Did you lose a loved one in Iraq? My nephew, Shawn, was proud of what he was doing in Iraq and gave his life to help others have a better life.

By the way, you are wrong that not a single American has died since the Revolutionary War for our freedom. Remember 9/11? Remember Pearl Harbor? While you are entitled to your opinions about our government, and while people like my nephew have died to protect that entitlement, I think you need to come down out of the mountains for a while. You are not getting enough oxygen to your brain.
