Grateful for the contributions
October 11, 2010
On behalf of Wapiyapi, I would like to take this opportunity to extend our thanks to the city and community of Aspen who made Sept. 26’s Roche Constructors Wapiyapi Classic bike ride possible.
The success of the bike ride greatly exceeded any of our expectations and has made an enormous impact on the Colorado nonprofit organization, Wapiyapi. Without the support of the community, this event would not have taken place. Numerous children and families affected by childhood cancer will benefit from your generosity and big hearts!
We would like to extend a special thanks to Lance Armstrong and Anna Hansen; you are an inspiration to us all. Thank you so much for taking time to be involved in the ride. Additionally, we would like to thank the city of Aspen, Pitkin County, RFTA, the Wheeler Opera House, Z-Green, the Aspen Parks and Recreation Department, the U.S. Forest Service, Aspen Police, Aspen Ambulance, Aspen Fire, Red Cross of Western Colorado, the Aspen Chamber Resort Association, and the many other governing agencies who patiently walked us through the permitting process over the course of the last year.
Your contribution to our charity is immeasurable, and we are so grateful to each of you!
