Grateful for the attention

Dear Editor:

Well, I never thought it would happen to me. Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, I had a heart attack at work. Thanks to my colleagues, the Basalt EMTs and police arrived quickly, and they attended to me and got me to Valley View Hospital in time.

I would like to extend my heartfelt (literally) thanks to the following people who I remember: Basalt EMTs Jim and Mark, who I understand brought me back to life twice. Those in the ER at Valley View Hospital who attended to me (sorry, I think I was only conscious for a few minutes). Dr. James Schmidt, who operated on me. Dr. Martin, Becky, Heather, Dustin and Virginia, who took my food order and to the many others who I do not know their names. The gratitude extends all the way to my heart, which you all took the time to save. Happy New Year!
