Grateful for helping hand

Dear Editor:

Our family has been so blessed by the members of our community who support and manage the Elks Lodge in Aspen we must express our deepest thanks. The Aspen Elks Lodge has been helping our daughter for years in support of her ballet studies. Now our son has received a scholarship for his Aspen Recreation summer baseball league also from the Aspen Elks Lodge.

We are truly grateful for those who donate to the lodge and those who run the scholarship programs for the kindness you show in helping the children and teens of Aspen. Even in this time of recession there are those in our community who continue to believe in private philanthropy and who keep giving so that our children can reach their potential.

Thank you from our hearts.

Richard and Dawn Lamping
