Grading the Mustang

Dear Editor:

The SKI-ZRS decided to try a new place last Friday, the Mustang. Downstairs on the Hyman mall, past home of Aspen State, and more recently Club Chelsea. The SKI-ZRS were greeted most warmly, even though they were still setting up, and that attitude lasted for the duration of our visit. The club has a great feel, in fact scoring a perfect “5” in ambiance, and also a “5” in service, and nearly a “5” in attitude.

Their overall score was brought down a bit in the in the “prices,” and to a lesser degree in the “apps.” categories. A wider variety of deals in the “drinks” category was also commented on. Some of the comments were: Apps. pricey but good, $3 Coors and $5 wells are good but need a wine special. Pricey wine and pours seemed short. Great room and staff. Wish the music started at happy hour.

The SKI-ZRS really dug this place but feel like if they’re going to turn the locals on to it they need to offer some real door busters and rope us in during happy hour, to keep us there. Ski ya next time.
