God is what we need
Dear Editor:
Please print the following letter to Pitkin County officials:
I want to thank you for your very worthwhile decision on the Grace Church and Christian Church that teaches love, respect, morals, decency, honesty and helpfulness to others.
Darnell Scott (her daughter was killed at Columbine school) wrote the following poem:
Your laws ignore our deepest needs
Your words are empty air
You’ve striped away our heritage
You’ve outlawed simple prayer
Now gunshots fill our classrooms
and precious children die
You seek for answers everywhere
and ask the question “Why?”
You regulate restrictive laws
through legislative creed
and yet you fail to understand
that God is what we need
Once again thank you for allowing the Grace Church to be a part (an important part) of Pitkin County.
