GLENWOOD SPRINGS ” District Chief Judge James Boyd sentenced Samuel Lincoln this morning to 90 years in prison for stabbing a man with a bayonet and robbing his trailer in West Glenwood in 2004.
Lincoln was convicted of the crime at trial in March. A co-defendant, Lawrence Doty, was earlier found not guilty.
Lincoln now faces a total of about 332 years in prison. The 90-year sentence follows convictions in Mesa County for shooting at deputies, trying to shoot a man to death in the desert outside Grand Junction and burglary.
See Saturday’s Aspen Times for more on the sentencing.
