Glenwood Canyon blke path open all the way

Aspen, CO Colorado

GLENWOOD SPRINGS ” The Glenwood Canyon bike path is open in its entirety, the Colorado Department of Transportation announced Thursday.

Much of the path was closed in late spring and early summer as a result of high water in the adjacent Colorado River. More recently, CDOT had opened most of the path, but the section between the Shoshone and Hanging Lake rest areas remained closed. That segment is now open, meaning bicyclists and pedestrians can make use of the concrete path throughout the length of the scenic canyon.

If water levels rise, however, part of the path could be closed again, CDOT cautioned.
