Give it up for Buttermilk lift ops

Dear Editor:

I wanted to write to let you know about the great experiences I have had with the lift operators at Buttermilk. They go above and beyond in customer service. I have skied there many days this season with the whole family and have enjoyed it every time.

Twice now I have gone skiing with my son Connor, 4 and his best buddy, Harry, who is also 4. It wasn’t until I got to the mountain did I wonder about getting both of them on the lift. In planning this day of skiing I never gave the lift a second thought. Once I got to the lift I realized why I had not questioned whether I could do this with the two boys by myself. I was so eagerly assisted at every lift by all of the operators to get one of the boys on to the chair without my even having to ask.

They are always like this, even when I am skiing with my husband and the kids and we can manage it on our own. But, if it weren’t for their enthusiastic help I would not be able to take these two little guys skiing without another adult. They love Buttermilk and the more days they get on the hill the better skiers they become, so being able to go with them on a random weekday has been such a pleasure.

I am sure this has been a hard winter of standing in unending snow and cold so please let them know that their help and smiles are very much appreciated.
