Give folks a lift

Dear Editor:

Happy new year with our most heartfelt appreciation. The New Castle LIFT-UP Food Bank has been blessed beyond our wildest wishes with food donations from local churches, schools, Scouts, library, social groups, lodges and individuals, both known and unknown.

We gave Christmas food bags to 104 struggling families to help their holidays be a little bit more pleasant. We always want to help folks through the rough patches of illness, unemployment and other tough times. Please come to see us.

We are regularly available for donations and emergency food assistance at our LIFT-UP Food Bank in the River Center on Fourth Street on Wednesdays and Fridays between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
