Getting out, now
Dear Editor:Several friends have suggested to me that I send you a copy of the e-mail I recently sent to members of the Colorado congressional delegation. For whatever it is worth, I append it below and you have my permission to publish it if you see fit:ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Don’t let Bush try to cover his political ass by sending more young men and women to risk their lives in an ill-conceived, incompetently managed and increasingly regarded as unwinnable war.The election last November should make it clear that most Americans look to you to get us out of this mess. It is no longer “supporting our soldiers.” It is a matter of saving young lives that will be lost in a last-resort attempt to salvage a president’s mistakes and misrepresentations. We have already overstayed the course.D.R.C.
