Major airlines connect at DenverIs International Airport (DIA) and at Eagle Airport (75 miles east of Aspen). United Express has year-round service to Aspen seating more than 84 passengers per flight. Other airlines service Aspen directly from major cities including Minneapolis/St. Paul, Los Angeles, and Phoenix. Courtesy vans, taxis, limousine services, rental cars and buses are available at DIA, Eagle Airport and AspenIs own Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (Sardy Field).

Amtrak has a scenic route from Denver to Glenwood Springs. Taxis and limousine service to Aspen, as well as rental cars, are available at the train station.

Summer: Aspen is a scenic four-hour drive from Denver International Airport via either Independence Pass to Highway 82 West, or via I-70 through Glenwood Springs to Highway 82 East.

Winter: Depending on the weather conditions, Aspen is a 4 1/2- to five-hour-hour drive from DIA via Interstate 70. Independence Pass is closed in the winter.

Aspen parking is very limited with strict parking regulations. We recommend public transportation as the cheapest, easiest and most convenient way to get around the Aspen area.

The Roaring Fork Transit Agency provides year-round service on a year-round basis. Scheduled service is based on the seasonal nature of the community. Transportation is provided free within the city limits and for a small fee throughout the valley.

Seasonal bus service includes Maroon Bells tours and a route to the Aspen Music School during the summer. In the winter there are free skier shuttles to all four mountains.
