Get involved in Basalt

Dear Editor:

Thanks to Paul Andersen for his insightful comments on Basalt (“Regarding Basalt,” Dec. 15). He is right on. The opportunity to sustain Basalt’s small-town character is now. A decade has gone by with little or no activity that would have added the citizen base so necessary to fostering and sustaining the community’s strength.

If we want to continue to be a place to live then let’s ask the questions Paul raises.

Anyone who is not happy in Basalt would likely not be happy anywhere. Get involved and stay involved.

Rick Stevens
