George W. Bush the Divider!

Dear Editor:

Ironically, Ronald Reagan was know as the great communicator and that certainly is not what George W. Bush will be remembered for. Bush has cast a large shadow over the 2008 election and in an almost comical way the Republican candidate, John McCain is desperately not only trying to distance himself but also expressing changes for the core belief of the Republican Party. His socialistic agenda is striking fear and disgust in the hearts of his right-wing support. Desperate men in desperate times do desperate things!

Sometimes I wish I had not become so interested in politics ” having researched votes and history of office holders and candidates over the past many decades. Researching the differences between the parties and what their core belief actually is. Understanding this opens many doors of understanding as to why they move in certain directions on varying issues. The complications of politics and understanding what they do and why they do it many times confuses the voters.

Sometimes I wish I was confused, that way the serious concern would not be so pressing and I may even vote for McCain. Problem is I’m not confused and that is why I am voting for Obama. I am simply amazed that Bush was elected to a second term when the obvious results were there for everyone to see.
