Generous help

If you look up at Snowmass Ski Area when the snow clears, you’ll see a big patch of gold at the base of Sam’s Knob. That’s the halfpipe we built out of dirt to save water and energy.

It’s gold because on Saturday the sixth, some 90 volunteer students and staff from Colorado Rocky Mountain School helped us spread seed and fertilizer, rake it in and lay straw.

I’d like to thank CRMS for their extremely generous help, which allowed us to complete a major revegetation project before the big rains came in, perfectly timed.

And I’d like to thank the ASC staff who worked an extra day to make this happen: Jon Sealander, Gary Schultz, Craig Chalmers, Joey Woltemath, Margo Steenkamp, Dick Piffer and Doug Mackenzie.
