Aspen Times staff report
Aspen, CO Colorado

SNOWMASS VILLAGE – Aspen Film’s Lights, Camera, Oscars party will feature an Academy Award winner in attendance. Marcia Gay Harden, who earned a best supporting actress statue for her work in the 2001 film “Pollock,” will be the special guest host for the event. The Lights, Camera, Action party, a fund-raiser for Aspen Film, is set for March 7 at the Viceroy Snowmass hotel’s Eight K lounge.

The event will include a live telecast of the 82nd annual Academy Awards ceremony on multiple large-screen TVs, a buffet, and a silent auction featuring film-related items.

Harden has been featured in “Mystic River,” for which she received an Oscar nomination, as well as “The Hoax,” “The First Wives Club” and “Mona Lisa Smile.” Last year she was nominated for a Tony Award for best actress for her role in the Broadway play, “God of Carnage.”

Co-hosting the event is Oliver Sharpe, an on-air personality with Plum TV.
