Furry and feathered friends

With Tigger, 13, begging to come in, Maggie, 15, warms herself in the sunlight at Catherine Garland's house Sunday morning February 6, 2005. Aspen Times photo/Paul Conrad.

Aspen has long been known as a “dog town” and has recently built a $3.5 million animal shelter to care for its homeless pets. It’s fitting, then, that our photographers like to shoot dogs and cats for the newspaper. It’s also in keeping with Aspen’s love for wildlife that the photographers enjoy the occasional glimpse of wild creatures as well.
