Funeral held for woman who fell, vanished into Beaver Creek

LINCOLN, Neb. – The family of a missing Nebraska woman who is presumed dead after falling into a Colorado creek is holding a funeral service for her in Lincoln.

Rescue teams have suspended the search for 56-year-old Mary Brake, who fell into Beaver Creek while horseback riding with her husband and 9-year-old daughter June 20th.

Authorities say they have exhausted all options in the search for Brake. She was washed downstream after falling into the swift-moving creek after her horse lost its footing.

A rosary service was held Sunday night at St. Joseph Church in Lincoln.

A funeral mass is being held Monday at the church.
