Fund-raiser was accessible and fun

Dear Editor:My thanks to Lorrie and Larry Winnerman, Patsy and time-keeper Benji Durden for the well-organized and fun Bicycle for the Cure.At a time when so many fund-raising benefits are becoming inaccessible to supporters of the causes we hold dear locally, it was great to have a simple event, well organized, that was affordable and fun. Many of us who rode for the cure up the road to the Maroon Bells on Sunday in times ranging from 30 minutes to an 1 hour and 20 minutes are unable to do some of the other events supporting the cause. I myself can’t run anymore and I never could golf, but it was great to be able to honor my family members affected by cancer with this little ride.Thank you to all who made this possible.Mick IrelandAspen
