From nice to nasty

Dear Editor:

A couple of decades ago, I used to quite enjoy Su Lum’s musings about family and the old mining town. “Slumming” has not aged well. It’s become just too crotchety and dangerously mean. Lighten up on the “straight, white men” (too easy a target), and tone down the vitriol about our electoral process, our political leaders and life in general. This column isn’t humorous in the least. It’s sad. I love my country and this little town. I’m happy. I wonder how you can live here and still be able to spout such venomous diatribes. I am paying attention, Su. WTF?
