Friday gets added to Highlands bonus weekend

Thanks to wintry weather and more snowfall predicted, Aspen Skiing Co. has decided to extend this week’s scheduled bonus weekend of skiing to include Friday.
Aspen Highlands will be open Friday through Sunday for one last bonus weekend with a large portion of the mountain’s terrain open, including Highland Bowl accessed by Exhibition, Loge Peak and Deep Temerity lifts.
The ski area will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The additional day will increase the Aspen/Snowmass ski season to a total of 161 days.
Merry-Go-Round restaurant, located mid-mountain, will be open with limited food and beverage options, and parking at the base of the mountain will be free for all three bonus days.
Walk-up ski school lessons will be unavailable Friday, and the Highlands shuttle will only run Saturday and Sunday.
All Aspen/Snowmass season passes are valid as they are during the regular season. Lift tickets are $69 a day for adults and $45 for children, teens and seniors.
Pass extension days for Flex, Adult Classic and Adult Mountain Collective passholders will be $32 and $23 for child, youth and college classic passholders as well as child, teen and senior Mountain Collective passholders. Passholders from other resorts can present their pass for a $39 rate.
