Dear Editor:

I just want to get something straight regarding Lee Mulcahy’s piece of “art” depicting Jim and Paula Crown with a bike dissecting the canvas. If I were to put a piece of turd on top of a bicycle seat and submitted it to the city as a work of “art” in celebration of the upcoming bike race, would this too be protected by the First Amendment?

Just wondering …
