Free screening set at Pitkin County Library

ASPEN – The Pitkin County Library will present a free screening of “The Powerbroker” from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday. The screening is made possible through a partnership with Rocky Mountain PBS and Community Cinema.

“The Powerbroker” is a portrait of arguably one of the most influential leaders of the civil-rights era, Whitney Young.

During the 1960s, he used relationships to gain better access to employment, education, housing, and health care not only for African-Americans but for all those in need.
