Free construction parking?

(This letter also was sent to the city of Aspen parking department.)

Dear Editor:

Seeing as how Tim Ware and the City Council seem intent on sticking it to the working poor by expanding paid parking, I would be curious to know if the massive construction projects along Monarch Street are paying $5 per day for every one of the dozens of parking spaces they are taking up. Is this the case, or is development being given a free pass while the little folks are the ones getting screwed?
