Francis, Pienaar wed in El Jebel
Shannon Francis and Pine Pienaar were married Sept. 27 at the Jim Colombo Ranch in El Jebel.
Parents of the bride are Judi and Bob Francis of Aspen, and parents of the groom are Pine and Arista Pienaar of Johannesburg, South Africa.
Attendants were Leslee and Jackie Francis of Aspen, sisters of the bride, and Natalie Longi of Germany.
The couple spent their honeymoon on a five-week trip through South Africa with the bride’s parents.

Longhorn seniors clear final hurdles to graduate from Basalt High School
Andrew Huntsman and Ralph Smalley were chosen by the seniors to give the class address during Basalt High School’s graduation ceremony on Saturday. This had the two BHS teachers questioning the legitimacy of those diplomas they were about to hand out.
