Frances E. Nelson passed away May 15, 2008, in Pueblo, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 86.

Frances was born in Aspen on May 13, 1922, to Louis and Mary Zelnick. Before moving to Pueblo, she proudly served in the Woman’s Army Corp during World War II. Frances sold Avon cos­metics for 14 years and made many friends along the way. She earned numerous awards as a top sales rep­resentative for the com­pany. She enjoyed travel­ing and spending time in the Buena Vista area ” camping, fishing and enjoying the mountains with her loved ones. For Frances‚ gardens and flower beds were always a point of pride, and she took great pleasure in cooking and baking for family and friends. Her sweet and generous spir­it was a blessing to all.

Survivors include her children: Louis (Trish) of Pueblo; Neil (Debbie) of Col­orado Springs; and Debbie Robertson (Mark) of Colorado Springs; a brother, Stanley, of El Jebel, and sisters Josephine Arbaney of Basalt and Lorraine Grange of Glenwood Springs. Frances also is sur­vived by seven grandchildren: Gregory Nelson of Moore, Okla.; Michael Nelson of Chanhassen, Minn.; Renee Clowers (Don) of Colorado Springs; Erik and Keri Nelson of Colorado Springs; and Rochelle and Rebekah Robertson of Colorado Springs.

She had six great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces nephews and other relatives.
