Foundation board gets new members

Aspen Times Staff Report

Four members were recently added to the Aspen Valley Community Foundation’s board of directors, the organization announced last week.

The newcomers are Diane Anderson, Jim Fifield, Larry Marx and Richard Virtue.

Anderson is past president of the boards of the Aspen Art Museum and the Aspen Valley Medical Foundation. She is presently a member of the boards of the Aspen Music Festival and Jazz Aspen Snowmass.

Fifield is President and CEO of The North Face Inc., and former president and CEO of EMI Music. He is chairman of the board of Jazz Aspen Snowmass and a member of the Aspen Music Festival board.

Marx is an equity manager for institutional clients with Neuberger and Berman in New York. He was co-chairman of the Aspen Center for Physics’ New Century Campaign.

Virtue is a businessman who moved to Snowmass Village from North Carolina. He has started two companies that are now publicly owned.

Those four join the existing 11-member board of the Aspen Valley Community Foundation, formerly known as the Aspen Foundation.
