Forget the Straight Shot

Dear Editor:

In Wednesday’s (Nov. 7) column, Mr. Thomas Friedman wrote from Hyberabad, India, about a traffic overpass bridge that took two years to complete in order to reduce congestion. But on day one, the flyover was choked with traffic.

This is a lesson for all those involved with solving traffic congestion in Aspen. As I wrote before, Straight Shot won’t do it. Only mass transit will.
