Forest Service makes the right call on camping ban
Joe DiSalvo is no Dick Kienast or Bob Braudis. Based on your article about no camping on the pass during the bike race Aug. 22 and 23, DiSalvo appears not to be a public servant but an obstructionist.
I support the Forest Service ban on no camping in the meadows of Independence Pass. Camping above timberline is very hard on the vegetation that only has two months a year to go through its entire yearly life cycle.
