Food & Wine Classic
In the rain and shine, the 23rd annual Food & Wine Magazine Classic took place from June 10 through 12. Master sommeliers, leading chefs and culinary connoisseurs united for the three-day spree of wine tastings, cooking classes and special events.Despite incessantly rainy weather, there was no shortage of social activity offered throughout the Classic. The weekend kicked off with a party hosted by Corzo Tequila and Betts & Scholl Wine at the home of Dennis and Deborah Scholl. Chef Lachlan MacKinnon-Patterson of Frasca Food and Wine in Boulder was the honored guest at the reception, where all celebrated his distinction as one of Food and Wine Magazines best new chefs for 2005.
Both Dennis and Deborah Scholl are major supporters of our restaurant, said MacKinnon-Patterson. Frasca and Betts & Scholl make a great team. While seminars were staged at various restaurants, hotels and other venues around town, house parties cropped up all over the place, including a pool party hosted by three companies between Grand Tastings on Saturday afternoon. The infamous Australian party returned to a rental property in the West End on Saturday night. The Sky Hotel closed out the weekend with their annual Sunday soiree. To contact May to send info, insights or invites, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
