Chef Ryan Hardy of The Little Nell, Aspen Magazine editor-publisher Janet OGrady, at The Little Nell hotel hosted a party to kickoff the 2008 Food & Wine Magazine Classic in Aspen.

The 2008 Food & Wine Magazine Classic in Aspen was fantastic as always. Visitors and Aspenites ate and drank and everyone is sure they put on a couple of extra pounds.

There are so many pre-parties now that the event practically lasts a whole week. Aspen Magazine editor-publisher Janet OGrady, Chef Ryan Hardy and The Little Nell hotel gave a welcoming party at the Nell on Wednesday evening. And on Thursday evening, the St. Regis hotel, American Express and Food & Wine Magazine gave another huge welcoming party at the St. Regis; it was followed by a reception on Park Avenue by Wines of Spain. The flowers were planted all over town during the day on Wednesday in preparation for Food & Wine, but it snowed that night and everyone said Aspen looked like a Christo happening, all of the flower beds and hanging baskets were draped in plastic to protect them from freezing. But then on Friday it warmed up and the flowers appeared once again.
